“Lock your lightsabers and tie down your taun-tauns: George Lucas is making another animated television series based on the Star Wars universe.The filmmaker told Associated Press on Wednesday that he is producing an animated TV series called The Clone Wars. He says it could air as early as next year, but he hasn't found a network for it yet.

Like the Emmy-winning series that aired on the Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2005, it's set between the events of Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. It follows the Jedi, led by Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, as they battle the separatists led by the renegade Count Dooku. While the previous series used limited animation, this will be animated using CGI.”

Scripting a number of episodes, Krstic is currently serving as a writer on the on-going series.
